AGM 2024
CALLING NOTICE – ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2024
1. As per UNISON rules, we are holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect Stewards and Branch Officers, and to discuss general business relating to the ongoing dispute over pay and negotiations on job evaluation. There will also be a chance for you to ask the Branch Officers any questions you may have about the union or national negotiations.
2. UNISON Scotland Further Education Branch Committee has agreed the following date and time for this meeting:
Thursday 28th March 2024 at 12.30pm
Members are invited to book a place with local Stewards and dial in by video conference or alternatively you can email the Branch directly at agm@unisonfe.scot to reserve your place. Members should seek local approval to attend (again liaise with local Stewards).
3. We would invite and encourage anyone who wishes to become active to consider becoming a Steward, a Health and Safety Steward, a Learning Rep or Workplace contact. If you are interested, you should return the accreditation paperwork by close of play on Friday the 9th of February 2024. The revised list of Stewards and Nominations for positions will then be circulated in advance of the AGM meetings. Where there is more than one nomination, an election will be held.
4. Additionally, if anyone wishes any further information on becoming a Branch Officer then information can be obtained by emailing agm@unisonfe.scot. All applications should be returned by close of play on Friday the 9th of February 2024.
